Bray Head is a 241 metre (791 ft) hill and headland, between the towns of Bray and Greystones. It forms part of the Wicklow Mountains and is a very popular place with walkers. A concrete crucifix, the Holy Year Cross, was placed at the peak in 1950 during the Holy Year. Every Good Friday, hundreds of locals climb to the top marking the stations of the Cross along the way and the final station being held at the Holy Year Cross.
