Geelong Victoria Australia - Take a Kodak
Geelong Victoria Australia - Take a Kodak
The artwork for the Original Colour Lithograph was created by Percival Albert (Percy) Trompf. Printed by F.W. Niven Pty. Ltd for The Australian National Travel Association (ANTA) in 1930's.
The promotional travel poster was commissioned during the mid 1930s to promote rail travel to Geelong. It illustrates the Grand White Spanish Steps and surrounding terraces that were opened in 1929. Half-way up is the beautiful fountain surrounded by statues of cranes and tortoises. The spectacular view of the promenade, Corio Bay and the You Yangs could be seen from the steps and terraces.
